I conducted interviews and surveys with students and young adults to understand their fitness goals, daily routines, and barriers to maintaining healthy habits.
The research focused on identifying pain points such as inconsistent motivation, limited access to reliable information, and difficulty maintaining routines within
tight budgets.
Key insights revealed a strong need for personalized plans, motivational nudges, community accountability, and affordable solutions that feel achievable rather than
overwhelming.
I explored multiple feature directions, including progress tracking, habit reinforcement tools, community groups, and resource sharing. Concepts were evaluated
based on feasibility, user value, and ability to support long-term engagement.
High-fidelity screens were created in Figma, focusing on clear navigation, approachable visuals, and encouraging feedback loops that help users stay consistent.
Components were designed to be scalable and adaptable for future features.
Designs were refined through feedback and reflection, ensuring the experience remained simple, supportive, and aligned with user goals.
Partnered on designing a behavioral VR training system aimed at improving preparedness and decision-making through immersive simulations and performance analytics.

Many students struggle to maintain consistent fitness routines due to limited budgets, lack of guidance, and difficulty staying motivated. Existing apps often focus heavily
on performance metrics without addressing emotional and behavioral challenges like cravings, accountability, and community support.
Project description
FitnessX is a wellness platform designed to help students and individuals build sustainable fitness habits through affordable, personalized workout and nutrition guidance. Inspired by my own weight loss journey and the challenges of maintaining healthy routines on a student budget, the goal was to create a supportive digital experience that reduces barriers to fitness and keeps users motivated over time. I led the design process end-to-end, translating personal insights and user research into an intuitive product that balances functionality with emotional support, combining progress tracking, community engagement, and practical resources into one cohesive platform.
